Lyle Omolayo, a Plainfield, New Jersey native, is an emcee who doesn’t rhyme for the sake of riddling.  Rooted in community activism and education, Lyle’s music provides a politically charged and introspective yet relatable view, tackling topics often overlooked or taboo in hip hop.

Lyle Omolayo is also known as mc enigma and is 1/2 of Negros Americanos, a trilingual hip hop duo formed in Panama City, Panama.  Negros Americanos recently released, Lost In The Wilderness a documentary detailing the formation of the group, the journey from New Jersey to Panama and the necessity to break down barriers and engage communities through music and language.

Dry Season, Lyle’s upcoming project is a follow up to Rainy Season, previously written, recorded, and released while living in Panama. The project features Bixop, Silent Knight,  Eli Black, Amani Fela, StrangeLove, Latasha Alcindor, Napoleon Da Legend, Jenny Wren, Danielle Watson, Hendii, Baxter Wordz,  Indra, Seluna and many more.

COLORING IN COLOUR WITH ILLUSTRATIONS BY LYLE OMOLAYO VOL 1. HEADS AND LANDSCAPES is here, celebrating the beauty of people of color blended with vivid landscapes, some of this world and some from worlds beyond. Greatly influenced and inspired by his travels through the United States, Central America and the Caribbean, Lyle drew this coloring book in admiration and awe of the melanin-gifted and overlooked.  This is 50 pages of beautiful illustrated faces and interesting places.

DRY SEASON

A TWO PART STORY

Dry Season is a two part story.

One story is that of scarcity, Desert.  The other story is that of abundance Dessert. Returning to the United States after forming Negros Americanos with Bixop, Dry Season picks up where Lyle's last release as "mc enigma," Rainy Season, left off.
Exploring topics of culture shock, rejection, isolation, and being a pariah in a foreign country, Dry Season is a narrative of love and travel.

"Mejorar la raza, she ran off with Scott Bacula or William Shatner, Justin Bieber's what she's after."

Dry Season has production from Dela, $JAYY, Te Kamau, Mello Mel, Loot Fatig, Raaka Fant, Star Child, and others and features cameos from Pacewon, Bixop, Silent Knight, Strangelove, Amani Fela, Eli Black, Latasha Alcindor, Napoleon Da Legend, Baxter Wordz, Danielle Watson, Hendii, Jenny Wren, Indra, Seluna, Khalil Khan and many more.
